MachineRe | Prototype

Can you trust your Memories?

In this 3D First-Person Mystic Horror Adventure set in the dark, industrial depths of an alternate 19th century, you play as Claire Freude, a brilliant scientist. What should be a harmless trial run of a sinister machine quickly goes off the rails. Trapped within a nightmarish time prison, manipulated by the enigmatic businessman Vadím, you must navigate through a labyrinth, complete tasks and survive. Claire needs all his mental strength, but it threatens to slip away. What is true? Who is on your side? Can you trust yourself?

Gameplay

The gameplay involves navigating through a maze-like storage area, operating the machine, and avoiding a shadowy enemy that occasionally appears. The game offers a blend of exploration and light horror elements.

It's already a good prototype and I'm looking forward to more.
I also have a few points for improvement.

  •  An indicator in the settings whether you have set the gamma value correctly.
  • The paternoster at the beginning of the game moves counterclockwise when entering and clockwise when leaving.
  • As already mentioned, I was missing feedback when the shadow approaches.

Criticism in the knowledge that this is a prototype.

- There should be moveable sliders for the audio in the menu

- Linguistic comprehensibility is given

- Dialogue sequences are understandable (speed)

- Getting into the lift takes some getting used to

- The sound of the banister swinging up seems inappropriate.

- Running fast seems unnatural (as if on rails)

- The acoustic ambience at the deja vu is used very well, especially when the shadow appears.

- There needs to be some visual or auditory warning of the shadow's appearance.

- The shadow needs some agility

You're on the right track.
